Ramon Jarpa, 44, of Port Washington, died tragically on Oct. 9, 2002. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline; his children, Nicoles and Jonathan; his mother Maria Donoso; and his half-brother Francisco Guerra. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter of Alcantara RC Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
Joseph Mastrocinque, a 47-year resident of Port Washington, who recently moved to Kings Park, passed away Oct. 11, at the age of 78 in St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. A naval Veteran of Foreign Wars, Joseph operated a women's garment manufacturing plant on South Bayles Ave. for several years in the '60s and '70s before working in the garment district in NYC.
He leaves behind his loving family, his wife, Jean, a retired Port Washington school teacher; four children, Andrea Martone of Port Washington, Nick of Connecticut, Mark of East Norwich and Joseph Jr. of Virginia; and six grandchildren, Gina, Ali, Jaclyn, Sasha, Andrew and Thomas.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Calverton National Cemetery on Oct. 15.
Mildred Stalnaker (nee Olsen), 88, of Port Washington, died on Oct. 11, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband Carlton Sr. She is survived by her children, Carlton Jr. and Paul (Roseann); and five grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Religious service at the funeral home. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
