The Port Washington School District is a "work in progress" in a number of respects right now. It is facing major building projects, major personnel changes, and major new local, state and federal initiatives.

In many ways, a school district is like a mosaic. Its ultimate excellence is determined by the many decisions that are made along the way. When the board of education works respectfully and cooperatively with the teachers and other staff members, together we can create an incredibly beautiful mosaic. It is within our power. It begins with each decision made. It begins now with a fair successor agreement to the teachers' contract.
