Once again, the beginning of a new school year is upon us, yet the contract negotiations with the teachers have not been concluded. Several recent letters to the PWN have urged the BOE to complete these contract negotiations. Since the letters never mention specific negotiating points, but only infer that the BOE is failing to act in good faith, the solution is clear. The teachers should simply accept the terms and conditions offered by the BOE so that the contract can be signed immediately. After all, it couldn't be that the teachers are asking for salary increases and working conditions that are so unreasonable that they are too embarrassing to discuss openly.
