The departure from our school district of two very able and highly regarded administrators and educators, namely Dr. Albert Inserra and Dr. Sid Barish, both having announced their respective retirements, gives pause for concern and raises some questions. Is their departure coincidental or is it a result of the circus atmosphere that permeates at every BOE meeting? Anyone who has been subjected to the abominable behavior of some of the BOE members, particularly Richard Sussman, could easily conclude that both these honorable men came to the decision ... "enough is enough! Who can blame them? Any parents who are considering moving into Port and have their kids attend our schools, after witnessing one of those BOE fiascoes would be hard pressed to enroll their kids in our schools.

The sad part of Drs. Inserra's and Barish's departure is that the wrong individuals are leaving. The one that should be summarily dismissed either by the BOE itself or at the ballot box is Richard Sussman. His ongoing despicable behavior, cannot and shouldn't be tolerated any longer! This community will be faced with one of the most critical BOE elections in years. It must not allow the likes of Sussman or any one of his clones to succeed him. This would be disastrous for our school district and above all the students, teachers and the entire education process. "Let the buyer beware!"
