I've been a patron of the Port Washington Animal Hospital for 32 years - ever since I moved into Port - and there I've had my pet cats treated, boarded and given all the rest of the care that felines require.

I just want to put it on record that she is truly a great person who truly loves small animals (cats and dogs in particular) and has been a standout citizen in our community. I know for a fact that she's helped a lot of people in a lot of different ways.

Marle helped to find homes for numerous small animals, and in particular, she gave me one of my favorite cats, named "Billy," who's been a joy to me for the past eight years. Marlene, in fact, is Billy's honorary "godmother."

Marlene, we're all going to miss you at the Port Animal Hospital on Willowdale but we're sure you're going to turn up somewhere where your considerable talents and vibrant personality will be appreciated.
