Joseph A. "Chief" Fico, 87, of Port Washington, died on Sept. 14, 2001. He was a member of the Atlantic Hook & Ladder Co. for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna; his children, Ann Miaorella, Joseph Fico Jr. and Joan Zabicki; his grandchildren, Lenny, Annette and Gina,Vivona, Karen and Kenny DiLeo, David and Lisa Fico, Cynthia and Len Dano and Susanne Zabicki; and his great-grandchildren, Kyle and Megan DiLeo. He is also survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Joe Miaorella, Kathy Fico and Vincent Zabicki. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Fire Dept. service was held at the Atlantic Hook & Ladder Co. Mass at St. Peter of Alcantara RC Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
