Kenneth Jerome Davis, of Port Washington, died on April 28, 2001. Son of Patricia Loze and Harvey Davis. Brother of Wandell Loze of Port Washington and Evette Mosley of Delaware. Grandson of Josephine Loze of Port Washington. Kenneth is also survived by his aunts Sheila Daniels of Hempstead and Geraldine Kethcham of Amityville as well as an uncle Kenneth Gomez of Springfield, Jamaica. He leaves behind a host of other relatives. All throughout school, he loved and excelled in playing sports and received many awards from Paul D. Schreiber High School . Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Funeral service at the Zion Baptist Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
Axel S. Palm, 47, formerly of Port Washington, died on June 4, 2001 in Indianapolis, IN. Beloved husband of Sherie. Dear son of Alexander and Edith Palm. Also survived by his sister Peggy, Uncle Kurt and Aunt Hilda Palm; and cousin Vivian Halufska and family. Religious services were held in Indianapolis.
Artie Nikolis, 84, a longtime resident of Port Washington, died on June 12, 2001. Artie was the owner of Festival of Foods. She was predeceased by her husband Peter and her son Gary. She is survived by her children, Bill, Anna and Phillip (Sally); and her grandchildren, Faye, Corrine, Patrice, Harry, Anastasia and Alexander. She is also survived by her brother George Kosefas; her cousins George and Mary Mihalakos and many others. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Relgious service at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth.
Irving Meyrowitz , 85 of Port Washington, passed away on May 19, 2001. His wife of 62 years Sadie, his daughters Bev Wellman and Judy Cutaia and granddaughter Sabrina Cutaia survive him. Mr. Meyrowitz was a resident of the Landmark on Main Street building and will be missed by all.
