At board meetings of the Incorporated Village of Manorhaven, residents are not allowed to speak and when they do speak, they are ridiculed or worse yet ignored. Whether it be a meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals (or any other village meeting), this treatment of village residents has to stop.
At the April meeting of the Inc. Village of Manorhaven's Board of Zoning and Appeals, once again board member Matt Scott used an insulting comment, in an abusive way, referring to me as ignorant when I tried to clarify some information. Later on in the meeting he attempted an apology, requesting it be off the record, as though he has the power to "pic" what is recorded by the court stenographer during a public hearing.
Why be surprised, this PIC administration and its appointees act as though the public should go away and just let them do anything they please. They completely ignore the meaning of "public comment." In my opinion they are using these tactics as means of intimidation to discourage residents from attending village meetings.
What is even more incredible, is that this man who has teaching as his career, would discourage anyone from seeking the correct information.
