Honoring our flag and remembrance of the men and women who served our country, as Vincent Ressa wrote in the Nov. 23, issue seem to have taken a back seat to the transparent frivolities of Hollywood with its talent-less "Super Stars" and millionaire moguls.
It's pretty apparent that, as a country, our sense of values, pride, and morality are diminishing at an alarming rate.
I wonder how often the word patriotism and its meaning are used in our homes and our schools.
How do you square the seeming lack of patriotism with the families of those who died in the effort to preserve our democracy and save the world?
