Stephen Gerard Kehm, 40, of Bedminster, NJ, died on Dec. 5, 2000 at his home. He was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Port Washington before moving to Bedminster three years ago. Mr. Kehm was president of R.K. Associates, a construction and consulting firm in NYC for the past 10 years. He was a 1982 graduate of Albany State College and attended NY Law School in NYC. He is survived by his wife, Rachel M. (Williams) Kehm; two daughters, Jessica S. and Jasmine R. Kehm, both at home; his parents, Gerard T. and Patricia E. (McCarthy) Kehm of Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters, Carol Ann Maroney of LI and Jean Ellen Nelson of Singapore; his paternal grandmother, Mae Kehm of Ft. Myers; and his maternal grandparents, Patrick and Patricia McCarthy of Laurel, DE. Arrangements were made by the Layton Funeral Home, Bedminster. Dawn Dodge Lister, a longtime resident of Port Washington, died on Dec. 5, 2000. She was 68 years of age. Ms. Lister was a retired NYC probation officer. She also taught special ed. Survivors are her daughter, Lisabeth, and her son-in-law Dan Murray. She was a loving grandmother to James and Maya. Memorial services at the Unitarian Church in Manhasset. Donald Birtley Brant, 91, of Foulkeways, Gwynedd, PA, a former resident of Port Washington for 25 years, died on Dec. 5, 2000 after a brief illness. He was born in Brooklyn and attended Erasmus Hall High School and Columbia University. For many years he was an executive and principal in NYC advertising agencies, including Croot & Brant and Rumrill-Hoyt. When a resident of Port Washington, he was active in many community organizations, including Cub Scouts, Little League and Community Chest and was a past commander of Little Neck Bay Power Squadron and past president of Manhasset Bay Estates Association. He was a member of the Port Washington Yacht Club and Shelter Island Yacht Club. His wife of 60 years, the former Kathryn Perrin, died in 1993. He is survived by his son, Donald B. Brant Jr. of NYC and two grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, PA. He was a Congregationalist. Interment private Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
Carlo F. Salvador, 102, of Harbor Acres, Sands Point, died on Dec. 7, 2000. He is survived by his wife Kathleen; daughter, Ann M. Murray; grandson, Daniel C. Murray; and sister Josephine. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Mass celebrated at St. Peter of Alcantara Church. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.
Dallas E. Seifts, 85, of Sharon, PA, died on Dec. 9, 2000. He was born in Port Washington, the son of the George Seifts and Mae C. (Weiner) Seifts. He attended Port Washington area schools and was employed by the PW Water District as a plant operator retiring in 1977. He was a member of the 8th Air Force 339th Fighter Group. During WWII he served as a medical technician. He was the recipient of a presidential citation award. He was a past member of the PW Volunteer Fire Dept. with over 20 years of service. He was a life member of the PW Exempt Fireman's Benevolent Association. Husband of Helen R. (Ross) Sefits. Father of Dallas G. Seifts of Transfer, PA. Brother of Wesley G. Seifts of Northport, FL. Arrangements were made by the John Flynn Funeral Home, Hermitage, PA. Service with Rev. Douglas K. Dayton. Entombment Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
