On Friday, June 11, the hot Jimmy's Shoes Diamondbacks played the Tindell Windows Yankees in the Second Place Championship Game at PAL field.

The Diamondbacks struck early with three runs in the bottom of the first. Matt Podobinski (2 for 2) singled and scored when Jacob Friedman hit a double. Andrew Marback then belted the longest Diamondback home run of the year over the left field fence.

In the second inning the Diamondbacks added two more runs when Stephen Fergusen walked and scored when Matt Podobinski hit an inside-the-park home run. Matt Podobinski retired three of the four batters he faced in the third inning. Closer James Garcia entered the game in the fourth and struck out 7 of the 12 batters he faced. Garcia pitched ten consecutive scoreless innings in relief this year, striking out 35 batters in 13 total innings.

The streaking Diamondbacks ended the season with three straight wins and 4-3 record.
