We would like to take this opportunity to give accolades to our committee of over 100 parents who helped to plan and present the eighth grade graduation celebration party for our children. For the first time, the party was held at the Polish Hall. This decision was due to two main factors, one in particular was the large size of the class (322 students) and the other was air conditioning! In retrospect this was one of the best decisions made by the planing committee as Thursday night was a particularly warm and muggy evening. Thank you to Charlie and the staff at the polish Hall for being so cooperative and helpful. We greatly appreciated the help and support of Principal Matt Sanzone, secretaries Missy Stepinowski and Joey Spezio, PTA President Gail Thrope and PTA Treasurer Lee Fertilla. While we certainly cannot mention everyone's name who participated, we especially thank the committee chairs; music - Theresa Nees; invitations - Jill and Neil Eichner; decorations - Peggy Falconer; refreshments - Linda DeMeo and Pam Matinale; chaperones - Pam Matinale; photography - Renee Laffer. Also, thanks to Linda DiStefano for the balloon decorations, they certainly brightened up the room. The decoration committee outdid themselves with the theme of weber2000.com. In addition, we were assisted by seven members of the Schreiber Key Club on the night of the party: Kristen Lau, Rebecca Calix, Jamie Feather, Michelle Guidice, Sarah Morgan and Nitya Rehami. These young ladies were extremely helpful and we appreciate their assistance. Each eighth grader was offered the opportunity to have a Polaroid photo which was placed in a custom frame. The film was purchased with money raised by all the students in the home and careers classes of the eighth grade. We feel the night of celebration was a terrific success and everyone's contribution was important. Just remember parents, only four more years to Gambol...
