On July 31 our district will lose one of the most distinguished members of the administrative staff, Larry Blake. This will be a very sad day for Port Washington. You know Larry Blake. Larry is the warm and friendly, well-dressed blue-eyed gentleman who inherited our financial nightmare and turned it into an auditor's dream. A dignified presence at BOE meetings, the one who greets you at the polls every May, Larry Blake is the epitome of a gentleman and a scholar, always professional, poised and knowledgeable. We are grateful to you, Larry Blake, for your dedication, sense of responsibility and commitment to the Port Washington School District. For all you are and all you have done, we thank you, Larry Blake. We wish you the best and ... we wish you weren't leaving.
