I would like to take this opporutnity to thank the Veterans Post 1812 for the nomination of co-Grand Marshal, along with Alex Noda. I hold this honor and memory with great pride and admiration, just as I did when I fought for my country during the Korean War. An honor such as this makes me proud to be an American in this esxceptional country of freedom in which we live.

I would also like to thank my fellow comrades of the American Legion Post 509 for all their strong support and the Memorial Day Planning Committee for all their hard work in making this parade such a success as they do every year.

I must also thank my family and church (United Methodist) for marching in the parade. They showed their support not only for myself but, also, for all veterans who fought for our freedom.
