The Schreiber High School branch of the Lauri Strauss Leukemia Society has set the date for its annual Schreiber vs. Weber charity basketball game. It will take place on May 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Schreiber gym. All proceeds will be donated to find a cure for leukemia. If so far this sounds like just another boring charity event, read on. The two teams and their cheerleaders consist of Schreiber and Weber esteemed faculty. This means that if you come, you get to watch your teachers (or your kid's teachers or even your brother's and sister's teachers, as the case may be,) run around for two hours in organized chaos. If that's not your thing, there will also be great prizes raffled. So come to the Leukemia Society basketball game on May 5. Bring a friend, bring your family or come by yourself - if for no other reason, do it purely out of the goodness of your heart. Tickets are only $5. If your life depended on it, you'd want somebody to go so do the same for someone else - it could make all the difference. If you can't come but wish to make a donation, please send it to Schreiber High School c/o Dr. Rita Albert.
