Each year USTA/Eastern presents the Lawrence A. Miller Boys 16 and under Sportsmanship Award to one young man selected from those who play tennis for the USTA in the eastern region. It is considered one of its most significant awards since it recognizes not only those qualities that make a fine player but a valued and respected human being.

This year's honoree is a student at Schreiber High School, Craig Rubin. He has been a varsity tennis player for the past three years and is looking forward to the spring season. He is the number one singles player and one of the top three players in the county. His coach, Stan Makover, indicated that Craig has always displayed great sportsmanship, been a top student and major contributor to the Port Washington tennis program.
Congratulations to both Craig and his parents on a job well done.
