Port Washington's Weber Middle School held a Sports Recognition Assembly recently to honor all the middle school students who participated on a team in the fall season. In total, 226 students participated on 10 teams. The evening was also an opportunity to recognize every student-athlete and a time to thank all the parents who have come to each game in large numbers to support their children and Port teams. Furthermore, the Sports Recognition Assembly recognized the coaches who provided leadership for each of the sports. Refreshments for the evening were provided by the Athletic Association of Port Washington (AAPW).

Each Weber sports team received a banner so that team championships and honors can be listed and properly displayed. The banners are being paid for by the AAPW. The swimming banner was paid for by the Gatoff family in memory of Alycia Dara.
