The 3rd- and 4th-grade boys basketball team closed out its 7-0 season with a thrilling come-from-behind victory in the Championship Game.

The Sonics fell behind the talented Spurs early, trailing 9-2. with strong rebounding by Kevin Stross and a tremendous team effort, led by Joe Barrett, Steven Goodstein and Ben Aronow, along with the fine passing of point guard Cody Zupnick, the Sonics managed to close the gap entering the last period.

Down 13-10 with only four minutes to play, Stross scored four points and Barrett two, to capture the hard-fought win, 16-13. Also contributing with the efforts were Sean Gillespie and Eric Glasser.

PAL is now accepting registration forms for its winter basketball program for boys and girls grades one through six.
