Kath, as she was better known, was a very active student of Manhasset High School. She held the position of president of her sophomore year, was captain of the blue team, having won Sports Night over the orange team (who, by the way, was captained by Kath's very close friend, Peggy Burns, that year). She was held in high esteem by her classmates, having been involved in many other school activities, and was an honor student, having earned and awarded membership into the National Honor Society.
