James Edward Sibert, of Port Washington, died on Sept. 22, 1999. He was born on Aug. 23, 1937 in McCormick, SC, the son of the late Hurbert and Melba Sibert. Mr. Sibert, who was also known as "Country," attended Mimes High School. He met and married Mary Ann Prince in 1959. They had two sons Geoffrey and Dennis. Mr. Sibert worked for the Village of Great Neck as a maintenance worker for 15 years. In addition to his wife and sons, he leaves behind his granddaughter Cynthia; brothers, Curtis, Harvey, Bob and Jerome; sisters, Mildred Sibert and Gwendolyn Hackett; sister-in-law, Thema Sibert; and a host of relatives and friends. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Religious services. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery. Born and raised in Port, Margie passed away on Sept. 24, 1999 at her home in Melbourne, FL, where she moved with her husband Dominick "Sonny" Russo in 1994 upon his retirement. Throughout her life her passions were her family, her cooking "gadgets" and her pets. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dominick; three sons, Charlie of Melbourne Beach, FL, Thomas of Ronkonkoma and Dennis of Port Washington; three grandchildren. She was 72. Marion Chester, 87, died on Sept. 27, 1999. Mrs. Chester was predeceased by her husband James Chester. Mother of James and Robert. Grandmother of James III, John A., Angelique, Wendy, Tara and Robert. Great-grandmother of James IV, Joseph, Julianne, John A. Jr., Temilee, Leah, Alicia, Kelli, Nicholas and Lauran. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Funeral Mass at St. Peter of Alcantara RC Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery. Julia Leonetti, 98, of Centerville, OH, formerly of Port Washington, died on Sept. 28, 1999. Wife of the late Ercole. Mother of Frances Garofalo, Evelyn Giacobbe, Elaine Renga and Antoinette Palmese. Grandmother of 16. Great-grandmother of 38. Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Prayer service. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
