When he worked in another restaurant, he was making decent money, but he did not have time to learn English. His job schedule did not allow him to go to school, so he looked for another job. For the second consecutive year, the Vikings reached the quarter-finals of the Nassau County Boys Basketball Championships, a feat which has not been accomplished by a boys Port basketball team in over 20 years. This year's team also managed to win a playoff game (against VS Central), a first for a Port team since the late '70s.
