The Harbor Road rehabilitation project has been a long haul, at times fraught with controversy, for all involved with it. For 15 years, concerned Harbor Rd. residents, local civic leaders and the business interests on the road have wrangled with the many legal and practical issues imbedded in the road renovation project.

Port General Council Award to Peter Zwerlein
Peter Zwerlein was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Port Washington General Council of Homeowner Associations in recognition of his 28 years of outstanding service to the community at the Sewer District. In addition, State Senator Michael Balboni presented him with a citation of meritorious service on behalf of the New York State Senate.

"Super Bowl Sunday" brought out eight teams of frostbiters who braved very cold weather and light, shifty NE wind to complete five races. Top sailors for the day: 1. Pedro Lorson and Felicity Ryan (#536), 2) Ted Toombs and Monique Gaylor (#514) and 3. Doug Morea and Jason Hill (#653). There was no crew race.
