Substitute Contract Settled
After three years of negotiations, the Substitute Teacher Chapter-Port Washington Teachers Association and the school district settled the contract that expired on June 30, 1995. The newly settled contract will expire on June 30, 2001.

On the Bay
Last Sunday, 15 Interclub dinghy sailors participated in an on-the-water sailing seminar coached by Pedro Lorson and Doug Clark. Five practice starts and several short races were followed by three regular races. Calm winds eventually built to 5-7 knots. Top sailors: 1. Steve Moore (510), 2. Bill Kelly (007), and 3. Ted Toombs (514). Next week, regular racing will resume. Of interest: the two seminar coaches, Pedro Lorson and Doug Clark, have been friends for over 25 years.

Meet the VIkings Night
Plans are nearly completed for a "Meet the Vikings Nite" on Friday, Dec. 4. The 1998-99 Boys Varsity Basketball Team will be host to youngsters, including PYA, PAL and CYO participants and also give an exhibition. There will be contests and prizes included.
