The Tenth Annual Pride in Port celebration stirred up many good feelings in the good people of Port Washington and reinforced our sense of community. From our senior citizens to the littlest tots, everyone responded to the enthusiasm, warmth and good fellowship exuded by their friends and neighbors.
It was fitting that two of the most community-minded people in town, Barbara Faticone and Roy Smitheimer, chaired this special ten year celebration. With both of them at the helm, the event was well-organized and well-run, with as few "skirmishes" as possible for such a major undertaking. Serving on the committee was an honor and a pleasure. We created a good time for all, and had a good time doing it!
Let's all work to continue to carry on the traditions established by Pride in Port over the past 10 years. They improve the quality of life for all of us.
