As a father of two children in the Port school district I felt appalled by Mr. Sussman's letter in last week's paper. I find it offensive that he called the hard working members of the board "boobs." Mr. Sussman criticizes the board for not thoroughly discussing important issues. I do not know where he gets his information from. I have noticed in attending a few meetings that he is frequently late or seems to have a habit of spending large amounts of time in the lobby or chatting with members of the audience during board discussions.

Mr. Sussman criticizes the board for not settling the substitute teachers' contract but at a public meeting last spring he was part of the majority that voted against it. As a member of the board of trustees for Flower Hill I find it very unprofessional to criticize his fellow board members in the press as Mr. Sussman has done. Perhaps he should direct his unwarranted problems to his peers on the school board. I find his letter unfounded and immature.
