Floyd Lee Spidle, 71, of Broomfield, CO, who lived in Port Washington for 20 years, died on June 2, 1998. Born May 15, 1927 in Longmont to Earnest Paul Spidle and Stella Mira (Wilson) Spidle. He graduated from Lafayette High School and worked as a yacht captain in south Florida and NY. He served in the Coast Guard and Merchant Marines for eight years.

Mr. Spidle was dock master at the Port Washington Yacht Club for 20 years and he belonged to the Masonic and Manhasset Bay Sportsmen's Club. He is survived by his children, Roger, Dale, Dean and Glen; his sisters, Dorothy Rescate and Mareata Bunner; his friend Joan Heffner; and five grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Rundus Funeral Chapel, Broomfield, with Rev. Jon Almgren officiating. Mr. Spidle was cremated. Donations can be made to PorterCare, c/o Rundus Funeral Home, 1998 W. 10 Ave., Broomfield, CO 80020.

Carol Russell 56, of Port Washington, died on July 13, 1998. She resided in Port for over 20 years. She is survived by her loving mother Elizabeth Wills and her children, William Russell, Danielle Nadel and Heather Deo. She is also survived by her devoted grandchildren, Evan, Caroline, Emma, Christopher, Matthew, Carly and stepgrandson, Jason. She was the adoring sister of John Wills, Sharon Cook, Keith Wills and Michele Pasta. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Memorial service at the United Methodist Church. Interment private. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Gilda Radner Fund.
