Keeping up with the news of the waterfront has been overbalanced by thoughts of sadness following the death of Jim Devine on July 24 and then Herb Greenberg on July 25. Planning events for this season, we are reminded of Roger Shope's contribution to our sport. For several years ending in 1988, Jim was chairman of MBYC's Fall Series Committee. Herb Greenberg's KOD Knicknack is still in the KOD fleet and sailed by Arthur Kass.
