Newman Weston Page, 86, died on Feb. 6, 1998 in Marin County, CA. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on Jan. 6, 1912 and lived in Port Washington from 1945 to 1960. He moved to Tiburon, CA in 1960 where he lived until his death. Mr. Page graduated from Mount Hermon School, Northfield, MA and the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, University of Pennsylvania. He was a regional vice president with American Credit Indemnity Insurance. Mr. Page enjoyed golf, gardening, reading books of history, writers and poetry. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Grace C. Page; two daughters, Sarah Page Bareau of NYC and Susan Page Coleman of Oakland, CA; two grandchildren, Matthew W. Schneider of San Francisco and Wendy D. Schneider of Greeley, CO. George P. Ritchie, of Port Washington and Fort Pierce, FL, died suddenly on April 28, 1998 at age 69. He was born in Glen Cove. He was in the US Marine Corps Reserve and a veteran of the US Army who served in Germany. He was a retired sergeant who had served for 32 years with the Nassau County Police Dept. He was the liaison officer for the police department for the 16 incorporated villages on the north shore. He was also one of the original members of the police department Bureau of Special Operations. George is survived by his wife, Mary F; his daughter, Karen F. of Lake Grove; his son, Thomas W. (a member of the Port Washington Police Dept.); and his son Kevin P. of Roslyn Heights. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew and Brian and Amanda. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Rosa Gallo, 85, of Port Washington, died on May 2, 1998. Wife of the late Antonio. Mother of John, Vincenzo, Rose Caputo, Michael and Gina Meluzio. Grandmother of three. Great-grandmother of three. Sister of Florence Gallo. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Funeral Mass at St. Peter of Alcantara RC Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery.

Lillian O. Kelly, 72, of Port Washington, died on May 8, 1998. Aunt of Michael J. and Margaret Salerno and Linda S. Kurecka. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Prayer service. Interment private. Donations can be made, in Lillian Kelly's name, to the Diabetes Research Foundation, 93 Main St., Port Washington, NY 11050.
