Historically, the LWV's School Board Candidates Night is covered every year in this newspaper. However, this year, because of scheduling problems, it's being held later on in the month, on Tuesday night, May 12.

This means the article we generally write covering the meeting will not be able to be included in the May 14 issue, because that issue will have been put to bed by May 12. The first issue that a piece covering the meeting could be included in would be the May 21 issue. Unfortunately the vote is being held on Tuesday, May 19, two days after the vote.

We apologize and also stress the importance of attending this meeting so that you can be better informed about the issues and see where each of the three candidates stands on them.
