The Little Neck Bay Power Squadron is offering a boating course Tuesday evenings beginning March 17 at 8 p.m. at the Sousa School in Port Washington. The five-session course covers boat handling, anchoring, marlinspike, federal and state regulations, trailering, aids to navigation rules and much more. The total fee for the textbook and school registration is $25. There is no charge for instruction.

This course is recommended for anyone who owns a boat, is planning to buy one or just enjoys boating. Many insurance companies offer discounts to boat owners who complete the course and it is recognized by the US Coast Guard.
