Plainview Hospital will be having a free opportunity for people to receive blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings at the hospital on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. The heart health screenings will take place in the hospital’s lecture rooms A and B. Registration has opened for Long Island’s first patient safety conference on diagnostic error and patient engagement. The Developmental Disabilities Institute will once again be heating things up with Long Island’s best rock-n-roll bands to benefit children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities at Mulcahy’s Pub and Music Hall in Wantagh on Sunday, March 9 at 3 p.m. For a $30 donation guests will enjoy the sounds of legendary local bands, gift baskets auction, raffles, food, cash bar and the company of hundreds of fellow Long Islanders.
