Ex-Chief Ed Ocker of the Plainview Fire Department celebrated his 90th birthday recently. Ex-Chief Ocker is a lifelong resident of Plainview and has been an active member of the Plainview Fire Department for 69 years. Ex-Chief Ocker played Santa for the children of Plainview for over 50 years. His father Anton Ocker was the 2nd Chief of the Plainview Fire Department from 1930-1931.
