As a radio play-by-play announcer for a minor league baseball team in Pittsfield, MA, Connell McShane had to be up on his baseball knowledge. Years later baseball information turned to financial news and Plainview native Connell McShane reached the grand point in a career that continues to soar.
McShane joined Fox Business Network in September of 2007 and when it was launched to millions of homes on Oct. 15, 2007, McShane was at the helm.
McShane graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelors Degree in communication and media studies. Once out of college, McShane immediately got his feet wet in the world of professional broadcasting and he has not looked back.
Already being named a finalist in both the New York Metro Achievement in Radio Awards and the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters' Association, McShane has gathered numerous accomplishments in his tenure as a broadcaster and will likely add to the list as his career continues to flourish.
Before Fox Business Network, McShane worked at Bloomberg Television where he was an anchor working on Evening Edition, On the Markets and Marketweek. As well, McShane worked on such stories as the Iraq invasion, the capture of Saddam Hussein the 2004 Presidential election and the indescribable aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
McShane resides in Stewart Manor, keeping true to his Long Island roots, with his wife and three children.
