The Plainview Water District Commissioners welcome the Plainview-Old Bethpage Auxiliary Unit's patrol vehicles to their new home-the Plainview Water District parking lot. The intermunicipal agreement with the Plainview-Old Bethpage Auxiliary Police unit occurred when they sought help from the Water District when the parking location of its four marked patrol vehicles was sold for new construction. Looking for a new home for its vehicles, the unit asked if it could occupy the Water District's Manetto Hill Road facility to park.

Plainview Water District Chairman Ed Shulroff stated, "We are proud to honor the request and are happy to lend a helping hand to those improving our community. We are always willing to reach out and help community groups."

The Water District set aside four parking spots for the patrol vehicles, assisting the unit that protects the Plainview-Old Bethpage community.

"The District is not only committed to providing safe and reliable water to the communities of Plainview and Old Bethpage. The District has an ongoing commitment to community outreach and improvement," added Commissioner Kevin Langberg.
