As a resident of Old Bethpage, I applaud Legislator Dave Mejias for opposing the much spoke about pay increase for all Legislators.

He refuses to be strong-armed into voting for a pay increase from the beginning and continues to stand firm in his beliefs. I am proud that he represents my community. He is a true Public Servant, putting the people that he serves first and foremost.
