  • News: Talks Commence in Ownership Transfer Of Some County Parks to TOB

    Nassau County and the Town of Oyster Bay have held preliminary discussions regarding the transfer of some county parks and roadways to the town. Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto is excited about the possibility and said that transferring some of these parks and roadways would greatly benefit Nassau County, the Town of Oyster Bay and its residents.   • News: Sex Predators Target of Internet Safety Bill

    Assemblyman Charles D. Lavine (D-Glen Cove) announced that he supports a measure regulating sex offenders' use of the Internet to help prevent sex crimes. The bill is the result of a landmark agreement with Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to prevent sex offenders from victimizing children on Internet social networking sites. FULL STORY
