On Friday evening, Jan. 11, 13 couples celebrated a special anniversary during Shabbat services at Temple Beth Elohim, a reform temple in Old Bethpage. Couples who are celebrating an anniversary in any multiple of five years are invited to the bima to reconsecrate their wedding vows.

This year, two couples celebrated their 60th anniversary. According to temple president Scott Lefkowitz, it's one of the highlights of the year. The temple family looks forward to this annual event with great anticipation. Evelyn and Steve Eppner, married 60 years, quipped how nice it was to have their son and his family present, since they never made it to the first wedding! Pictured below are the celebrants, with their anniversary year in parenthesis.
