Second squad detectives are investigating a bias incident that occurred in Plainview between Friday, August 24 at 9 p.m. to Saturday, August 25 at 9 a.m.

Detectives reported that an unknown subject or subjects used red spray paint to graffiti various pieces of park equipment at the Town of Oyster Bay Park P12, located at Lindsay Street and Sally Lane. According to detectives, a swastika, anti-Semitic slurs and racial slurs were spray painted on signs, bleacher seats and a slide. Second squad detectives responded to the scene and photographed the graffiti. The Town of Oyster Bay was notified and removed the graffiti.
