Evelyn Grace Wernick, of Levittown, formerly of Plainview, died on April 1, 2007. A PTA Award recipient, she was a 40-year teacher's assistant in the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District. Wife of Edward. Mother of Warren, Eileen and Esther Pesantes. Grandmother of Mark and Michelle Pesantes. Sister of Virginia Kissel and Alice Gray. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held April 4 at St. Martin of Tours RC Church with interment following at Washington Memorial Park, Coram.
