Nassau County Homicide Squad detectives are seeking the public's help in finding the driver in a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred in Plainview on Friday, March 30 around 8 p.m. The accident claimed the life of 77-year-old Plainview resident Gurcharan Singh, a religious scholar and spiritual leader within the Sikh community on Long Island. Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School recently celebrated the 35th anniversary of its student-run radio station, WPOB 88.5 FM. WPOB is one of only four high school stations broadcasting on Long Island, and only about 200 nationwide. The station was built in 1972 with the help of district computer person Jan Schatzberg.
