With the holidays upon us we wanted to take a moment to thank the community for their continued interest and support. Over the upcoming year the Concerned Citizens of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Community, Inc. will be very busy in our efforts, with the help of our many supporters, to curb Mega-Development in lieu of reasonable use of the former County property (aka "Old Plainview"), championing for environmental conservation, green energy initiatives, containment of Republic Airport, continuing to keep abreast of developments and remaining on top of the NYS-DEC regarding MTBEs & Toxic Vapor Intrusion, and expanding and enhancing our Neighbor-to-Neighbor Watch Program.
Although the holidays are a busy time we thank the many of you who have taken the time to contact us, as well as the Town of Oyster Bay, regarding the "Old Plainview" proposal. Please continue to keep up your efforts. As always, we can be contacted via e-mail at: ccpobc1@aol.com and the town welcomes your calls at 624-6350.
As you enjoy your holidays and work on New Year's resolutions we hope protecting our environment and community remain on the top of your list.
We wish you and yours the most joyous of holidays.
Carol Meschkow
President, Concerned Citizens of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Community, Inc. and Neighbor-to-Neighbor Watch Program
