Tuesday, Oct. 24, marked another chapter in the life of the Plainview-Old Bethpage DECA Club, as new and returning members were installed in the LGI at the high school. All the DECA members gathered at the high school with 250 guests. Special guests included Jonathan Mosenson, president of the school board; Dr. Martin Brooks, superintendent of schools; Eileen Hodrinsky, assistant superintendent for curriculum/instruction; Arthur Jonas, assistant superintendent; James Murray, principal of JFK; Tom Sena, associate principal; and Assistant Principal Glen Zakian. All these special guests are dedicated supporters of DECA.

The traditional installation ceremony was conducted after the blessings of Murray. Gloria Jones and Sue Rachell, the DECA co-advisors, continued the meeting with greetings to all the guests and informing the audience on all of last year's amazing fundraising activities. The DECA officers gave speeches about their experiences in DECA at the state and international competitions and the year ahead. The members' names were announced as they received the cheers from the many guests. Following the reading of the DECA Creed, all the members were installed and the ceremony was completed.
