The robbery squad recently reported the details of a bank robbery that occurred on Monday, Sept. 25 at 12:10 p.m. in Plainview.

According to detectives, Robert Pimental, 35, of West Babylon, entered the Washington Mutual Savings Bank located at 404 Woodbury Road and demanded money from a teller. After obtaining an unknown amount of money, he fled the bank on foot. There were 12 employees and three customers present and no injuries were reported.

Pimental was arrested in West Babylon and charged with one count of robbery, third degree. He was arraigned in first district court in Hempstead.
