The Friends of the Library cordially invites the community to join them for a special presentation of "Before the Flame Goes Out" on Thursday, September 7 at 2 p.m. in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library Auditorium.

POB-JFK High School graduate, Vincent Giordano, will be presenting a lecture and photo essay on the Romaniote Jews. This sect of Greek settlers is nearing extinction within the next decade. Vincent has dedicated himself to chronicling and preserving their history in his photo journal. He has received great acclaim and recognition for his talent in poignantly capturing their essence.

The Friends are delighted to be hosting this event and photo exhibit that will remain on display in the Library Gallery for a month for the communities pleasure.
