When one of the custodians arrived at work on Monday morning, it was not what he was used to seeing - he found a car parked on Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School's roof.
The custodian first arrived at 5:30 a.m. and found the car on the roof over the administrator's offices. The car was the shell of a Honda Accord painted neon pink with green question marks and it was still there when high school principal James Murray arrived at 6:15 a.m. The car had no tires and no engine.

Although they do not know who was responsible, it is believed that this was done as a senior prank. As more details are being discovered, school officials as well as police officers are starting to piece everything together. According to Murray, they believe that those responsible built a ramp behind the school to get the car up. He said he was unsure if they also used a truck to assist them.
According to Murray pieces of the ramp were found behind the school, near the softball fields and further away near the baseball fields.
A towing company removed the car from the school's roof Monday morning and there was minor damage to the school - there is some flashing on the roof, according to Murray.
School officials are working with the police to catch those responsible.
