From April 29 to May 2, the Plainview DECA Chapter attended the International Career Development Conference in Dallas, Texas. After winning at the local level, then the state level, each student advances to the international level where over 15,000 students from across the country, Canada, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands were in attendance. Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School English teacher, Lina Seaton, was recently recognized as an Honorable Mention recipient of the Teen Ink Magazine's Educator of the Year Award. Seaton received this recognition as a result of an essay written and submitted by senior, Lauren Jahoda.
