The National Foundation for Human Potential is hosting its 15th Annual Golf Tournament & Day of Tennis on Monday, May 15, at the Old Westbury Golf & County Club, Old Westbury. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit Old Bethpage's Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) and The Rehabilitation Institute (TRI), not-for-profit agencies that provide residential, educational, vocational and other innovative programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness or traumatic brain injury.
The National Foundation for Human Potential through Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE), in Old Bethpage, benefits more than 3,000 individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness or traumatic brain injury and their families each year on Long Island. The National Foundation for Human Potential provides financial and other support to Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc., The Rehabilitation Institute in Garden City and Carle Place and other organizations that promote educational, residential, and support services for people in need. The mission is to ensure the realization of human potential for all people, regardless of ability.
This year's tournament honoree is James Meyer, Vice President, Marketing, The Heritage Group, LLC. Meyer is a leader in the not-for-profit sector because of both his general skills dealing with nonprofits and fundraising and his specific area of knowledge, planned giving.
The Golf Tournament & Day of Tennis begins at 9 a.m. with breakfast and includes golf or tennis play, on-course barbecue, contests and dinner. Numerous sponsorship opportunities are available to support this important event. In addition: individual golfer-$500, gold golf foursome-$2,500, individual tennis-$300, dinner and cocktails only-$250.
