As you know, we have recently been advocating for a "Neighbor-to-Neighbor Watch Program". The program focuses on everyone becoming keen observers of what is normal and/or suspicious in your immediate area, prompt reporting to the NCPD, and sharing information through centralized e-mail communications. These communications along with the distribution of NCPD-SPIN Alerts, Police Dept announcements, community news, etc. serve to increase our community watch network and alert other residents. To strengthen this program please continue keeping a vigil over your immediate neighborhoods, report anything of a suspicious nature and let us know via e-mail so that other residents can be warned of potential threats in a timely fashion. We are also in communications with the Nassau County Police regarding forging a partnership with this program.
To enhance the program further, we have ordered window decals to indicate households that participate in the "Neighbor-to-Neighbor Watch Program". We are supplying these window decals for a small donation to cover production, postage and handling. If you would like to participate, please send us your name, complete address, e-mail address, and a $3.00 donation to Concerned Citizens of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Community, Inc. at 998-C Old Country Road-PMB #143, Plainview, NY 11803. All donations are tax deductible and appreciated. Please allow approximately 2 weeks for turn-around time.
As always, we feel very fortunate to work with so many wonderful friends and neighbors on issues related to maintaining our high standard of suburban lifestyle in Plainview-Old Bethpage.
