The Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School Robotics Team recently competed in a local competition in Deer Park. Each of the students had a chance to experience operating the robot while engaged in competition. The team as a whole placed second for the day's competitions.
Prior to the match, a team of parents, students and teachers went over to assist in field setup and the students were rewarded with an hour of practice for the professional competition. The team also acted as a mentor to a newly-formed robotics team from Freeport, giving them pointers and assisting them in the overall experience.
