This is to thank and congratulate the Plainview-Old Bethpage Herald and your reporter Christine DiDomenico for the excellent story about last Sunday's Heart and Sole 5 Kilometer Run. Although this is a small event, it is close to my own heart since the course is practically in my backyard and I especially like to promote running and fitness in my hometown!

I would like to especially commend all the good folks at NSUH-LIJ's Plainview Hospital for being such great partners in staging this event once again this year. The Hospital's medical director Alan Mensch and Crystal Powder and Jo Ellen Cole are a pleasure to work with. We made a great team together, and I look forward to working with them next summer on the third annual Heart and Sole 5 K Run.

I would also like to thank our primary sponsors -- Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union and Cold Spring Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for their generous support. Without the sponsors we simply can't operate, and our sponsors last Sunday are especially outstanding corporate citizens!
